Events to Support our Civic Projects

Albemarle Garden Club makes donations to local organization that reflect our mission of education and promotion of conservation, horticulture and civic improvement.

Annually we work with Garden Club of Virginia to deliver the spring Historic Garden Week to do the important work of preserving our state's historic public gardens.

Every fall for over 60 years we have hosted the Nelly Hough Memorial Gardening Course, which is named in memory of one of Charlottesville's most renowned and beloved garden designers.

Albemarle Garden Club regularly stages "The Design Forum" which brings world-renowned leaders in the area of design, history, horticulture, gardening and flower arranging to our community.  All is to support area civic projects.
