Great meeting last week! Thank you to Carol Carter for hosting and thank you to our lovely hostesses: Anne Tilney, Diana Bower and Merrick Murray. A huge shout out to our program ladies Brooke Spencer and Anne Jones for procuring a wonderful speaker. And a final thank you to Jennifer Ackerman for the great talk on Birds. What a font of knowledge on all things birds! Her letter of thanks made me feel very proud to be a member of AGC:
What a delight it was to meet you and your fabulous group of lovely, smart, funny, dedicated women. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the activities of the club and found it truly heartening to hear of the activism you're engaged in. How the world needs you right now! And what a pleasure and a privilege to speak about birds to such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic audience. Thank you so much for inviting me, and please give my thanks to Carol and all of the others who hosted this wonderful event.
Please let Katya Spicuzza know if you wish to have your status changed by November 1, 2017.
Colleen Grant hosted 20 AGC ladies at her home and provided us with everything we needed to start our bulbs using the cold storage method. Each of us were given 2 pots, soil and 10 Bridal Crown daffodil bulbs from Brent and Becky's. Hopefully, we will all have something to enter in our GGA In-Club Hort show in February. Stay tuned!
We want YOU to to become a reusable bag lady. It is easy and will help keep plastic out of our oceans, lakes and landfills. We found our president the other day and she uses them! Send us a photo of you and your reusable bag to Karen Blair at
