SPRING IS IN THE AIR INDEED!
What a great meeting we had at Westminster Canterbury!
Cole Burrell galvanized us to embrace sustainability in our backyard habitats by putting the "right plant in the right place". Fran Carden inspired all of us to force branches, bulbs and blooms. And we did, with 98 entries! There were 31 AGC members and 4 Westminster non - AGC residents that entered specimens. Class Commendations and plenty of ribbons were awarded. The Royalty award went to Colleen Grant for her Star Magnolia and Best in Show went to Betsey Greene from WCBR for her orchid. We had approximately 30 Westminster Canterbury residents visit the Flower Show and purchase our notecards. Thank you to all the volunteers that stepped up to make this show so spectacular.

It is not too late to start! Consider giving up (or at least dramatically reducing) your use of plastics for Lent. The Church of England thinks this is a great idea! Click HERE to read more
What to give up for Lent?
Pam Edmonds and Anne Jones reported on the Design Forum. Although not final, the money raised was in the neighborhood of $20,000. There were 14 vendors, 6 Sponsors and 237 attendees. A more detailed report will be available soon. A huge thanks goes to Kim Cory who gathered the vendors and Brooke Spencer who arranged for the wonderful speakers. Thank you to all the volunteers and those that bought tickets. Pam and Anne did a spectacular job!
